A steel ring of outer diameter 300mm and internal diameter of 200mm is shrunked unto a solid steel shaft , the interference is arranged such that the radial pressure between the meeting surfaces will not fall bellow 300MN/m^2 while the assembly rotates in circles. If the maximum circumferencial stress on the inside of d surface of the ring is limited to 240MN/m^2. Determine the maximum speed at which the assembly can be rotated . Assuming that no relative slip occur between the shaft and the ring.

A ship is traveling at a speed of 20 knots. (A knot is a nautical mile per hour, a nautical mile being approximately 1.1516 statute mile of 5280 feet each.) When directly opposite a target it fires a gun whose projectile has a velocity of 2000 feet a second. At what angle with the direction of motion of the ship must the gun be pointed in order to hit the target?
A 400N weight starts down a 300 incline with an initial velocity of 4m/s. What is the velocity of the weight after 10 seconds if F=0.20 for the incline?
Value of a Bond
It is defined to be the present worth of all the amounts the bondholder will receive through his possession of the bond.
The bondholder will receive two types of payments which are:
1. Single payment which the owner will receive at the date of maturity of the bond, which is usually equal to the par value of the bond; and
2. The periodic payments for interest on the bond usually it is redeemed by the issuing corporations.
Formula for value of a bond:
[(1-xy)^-2]dx + [y^2-x^2(1-xy)^-2]dy=0 ;when x=1, y=1

constant speed of 15 miles per hour relative to the water in
going 10 miles upstream and then returning. The total time
for the trip was 1.5 hours. Use this information to find the
speed of the current.
Ans: 5 mi/hr.
