The area-moment method is
The area-moment method is suitable for finding the rotation of a "specific" point on the beam not at "any" point. And note also that the rotation found using area-moment method is a relative rotation, for it is a rotation between two tangents. Double integration method is more appropriate if you wish to find the rotation of beam at any point.
