Find x if the point (x, 2) is equidistant from (3, 2) and (7, 2).

${d_1}^2 = {d_2}^2$

$(x - 3)^2 + (2 - 2)^2 = (x - 7)^2 + (2 - 2)^2$

$(x - 3)^2 = (x - 7)^2$

$x^2 - 6x + 9 = x^2 - 14x + 49$

$8x = 40$

$x = 5$
