My web development is focused on Drupal but notes here includes system administration, Linux, Apache, Nginx, MySQL, MariaDB, HTML, CSS, and anything related to running a website. These notes are suitable for beginners and intermediate users. My hope is that you will find some that are applicable to your workflow.
This transfer of Drupal site is when changing a web host company. The same process when transferring to a machine within the same web host but do not include the server configuration.
/sites/default/ then open the settings.php file.
To open: sudo nano settings.php
Scroll down to database settings and copy the following:
Command format: scp -r file origin destination
Important
Make sure you have the right credentials for every remote server you are working. You need the right pair of username and password of each machine for a successful transfer.
