If a skydiver with a surface area (into the wind) of 2m(squared) ... falls at a steady speed of 55m/s with a force of 900N what is the pressure on her?
When buckling a plate of two ends fixed, the deflection equation of the plate can be expressed by: y=y0*(1-cos mx) where the maximum deflection at the center is 2*y0. With this equation, the cross sectional area and the young's modulus of the plate is usually unchange.
uhh, we haven't discussed anything about this.. i dont know how to do this
if the eye is at a point under water, what is the greatest angle measured from the vertical line that a star can appear to be?
a weight of 350 pounds is being pulled up an incline at at a uniform speed.the incline makes an angle of 18 degree 25 minutes with the horizontal.the force pulling thye weight makes an angle of 27 degree 20 minutes with the incline.if the coefficient of sliding friction is 0.42, find the magnitude of the force.
how can i find the the volume of the water and height of the wetted part of the inverted cone inscribing a sphere given its radius?

How can i compute the height of the ice cube to be put in a conical tank when it turns into a liquid (water). Given with a height of the conical tank and its radius and the volume of the cube.
Good day. May I ask if the 900 lb load in C is really downward? I think it is upward to maintain the shear of the 900 right? If it would be downward then the shear will be zero? Correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks!
